13th May. Tampere INT, Jämthunds (6) were judged by breeder-judge Mr Hannu Talvi (KARAHKAN) - Tinka got excellent critique but as the judge thought that he can't give CC to dog this tall, result was Intermediate Exc. 2 and that's it. Critique (translated from Finnish): "Size: 59 cm. Light gray. Adequate markings. Tall and showy bitch. Good-boned, strong feminine head. Good neck. Overall a great conformation. Excellent bone structure in legs and excellent paws. Good coat quality. Almost right tailset. Pleasing temperament. Good movement". Basenjis (26) were judged by Mr Juha Putkonen, and Robbe's result was today Intermediate Exc. 1 CQ & Res-CC! Huge thanks again to Janne for handling him :-) Robbe was also measured in the ring and he is ideal size (43 cm).
6th May. After one week winter holiday in Pudasjärvi we entered today Pöytyä group show with Tinka, where jämthunds were judged by elkhound-specialist Mr Esko Nummijärvi. Tinka's result was today Intermediate Exc. 1 CQ, BB2 & Res-CC! Out of ten jämthunds only three got CQ.
25th April. Rest of Eve's thyroid test results came back today: S-T4A: 10% (< 20 negative), S-T3A: 6% (< 10 negative) and S-TGA 8% (< 20 negative)!
23rd April. Updated news and added new pics of Tinka, Robbe and Eve (Eve pics are from 0 to 14 wks).
21st April. Ypäjä group show, jämthunds (9) were judged by Mrs Maija Mäkinen - Tinka won the Intermediate class with Excellent & CQ and was 3rd Best Bitch with nice critique.
17th April. Some health news: Aatu (14,5 yrs) was tested with full blood panel, his liver-values ALAT and AFOS are still bit too high but all other values were perfect. Aatu has been 2 years at the special diet and that continues. Eve's first thyroid values were excellent: T4: 38,7 (17-53), TSH: 0,15 (<0,5), T4/TSH: 258 (>30).
1st April. Updated Robbe's and Tinka's Photogalleries, they can be found here. Tinka's BLUP-index for hips was added to KC's database, value is very nice 115. Updated Aatu's offspring -page.
24th March. First litter planned for Robbe in Sweden at kennel Yulara, more information here.
11th March. Weekend full of elkhounds - on Saturday it was SHHJ's annual meeting and on Sunday the Specialty Show of grey elkhounds in Forssa. Jämthunds were judged by Mrs Marja Talvitie, Tinka got today VG 3 from intermediate class (6 bitches in the class).
8th March. Rest of Robbe's thyroid test results came back today: S-T4A: 10% (< 20 negative), S-T3A: 5% (< 10 negative) and S-TGA 7% (< 20 negative)!
27th Feb. Added fishing pics from sea & lakes to Photogalleries.
19th Feb. Added hunting photos from this and last year to Photogalleries. Robbe has been now thyroidtested with excellent values: T4 33,3 (17-53), TSH 0,08 (< 0,5), T4/TSH 416,3 (> 30)!
15th Feb. Kennel Club sent the results: Tinka's hips A/A and elbows 0/1, Robbe's hips A/A and elbows 0/0!
2nd Feb. We visited Kai Skutnabb's clinic for hip & elbow x-rays with Tinka and Robbe, everything looked perfect.
29th Jan. Annual meeting of our Hunting Club, Arto continues as the Member of Board.
25th Jan. Happy 4th Birthday to Riina & her littermates!
21st Jan. Turku INT, basenjis were judged by Mrs Jocelyne Gagne (Canada) - Robbe's results was today JUN VG1, thanks to Tiina V. for handling our little man! Jämthunds had entry of 10 dogs and they were judged by Mr Karl Erik Johansson (Sweden). Tinka had great success, she was the only bitch who got Excellent & CQ, so she was Best Bitch with a CC and BOS! :-) Naturally she didn't get CACIB as she was in Juniors. Wonderful critique is here (in Swedish): "58 cm. Utmärkt typ, vacker feminin huvud. Mörka ögon. Bra tanderbett. Vacker hals-rygglinje. Bra svans. Bra bröstkorg. Utmärkt vinklar. Rör sig mycket bra, bra päls & färg."
5th Jan. Robbe's new direct fanconi test came back as carrier (no changes).
4th Jan. Some new health results: Tinka has clean eyes and healthy (0/0) patellas! Robbe has also clean eyes, and his patellas were 1/1 (slightly loose).
