Katja's family had always dogs (GSD's Hatso and Ziller, mixed breeds Nalle, Peppi and Jesse, and for couple of years Norwegian Elkhound bitch Ulla). Hatso II (named after first Hatso) was 1st own dog, he was not registered but was pure GSD. Very big male with wonderful tempererament, "old style" German Shepherd who unfortunately passed away at 7 yrs old to cancer.
Next (and so far the last :-) GSD was registered Bad Royal Bodyquard 'Rosso'. Rosso was re-homed at two years old, he had great temperament but his health wasn't good. I still think that GSD's are great dogs, but the health issues and the new "show type" body structrure made me to change the breed. Happily my brother still has wonderful old GSD gentleman "Tico" :-)
