We are "thirtysomething" couple living in Somero (South-West Finland). We bought a old farm here in summer 2004 when Arto graduated as Engineer, and we could leave Helsinki behind. Work will never end when you live at country, but it's worth it ..
As we both love the wild nature of North, we bought another house in 2006 from Salla (in Lappland) - driving from home there is about 1000 km to one direction, so unfortunately can't go there every weekend. In summer 2010 we bought our next place from Pudajärvi by lake Ypykkä. Very familiar hunting areas as Arto's grandma lives at other side of the lake! We also own one summer-place in Myrskylä. As the holidays are so short, we just haver to wait for retirement days .. ;-)
As you can propably guess from these pages, our hobby is dogs and working with them, including hunting, training, trials & showing. Arto also loves fishing so he's at the sea or lake whenever it's possible. We have also been part of Club actions, Katja was member of the Board in Weimarinseisojakerho - Weimaraner Club of Finland ry years 2005-2008 and Arto is member of the Board in our hunting club Rasi Ry.
